<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device having a simple structure hard to be affected by a poor power supply, wherein a contact with an obstacle can cease the closing movement of the opening/closing body. <P>SOLUTION: The opening/closing device is composed of an opening/closing body 11 capable of closing while sliding, a movable seat plate 13 connected to an end of the opening/closing body 11 in the closing direction and movable in the opening direction while facing to the opening/closing body 11 and a brake mechanism 42 for braking the closing movement of the opening/closing body 11 as well as releasing the braking state.
