<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a detected result in a stable period of time when a feeding sheet upper surface position of a printing sheet hardly fluctuates so that the feeding sheet upper surface position is stably kept at an upper limit position. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a side feeding sheet tray 120 which sends a plurality of printing sheets 10 one by one to a feeding sheet path with a pickup roller 220a and a scraper roller 220b, a feeding sheet table drive motor 210 which changes a relative position to the scraper roller 220b of the printing sheet 10, an upper limit detection sensor 401 which detects a feeding sheet upper surface position of the printing sheet 10, a sequence operation section 335c which controls the start of operation of the feeding sheet table drive motor 210 based on the detection results with the upper limit detection sensor 401, and a time step determination section 335a which determines a time step being a time interval to acquire the detection results by the upper limit detection sensor 401 out of time steps stored in a memory 334 among periodical operating cycles, wherein the upper limit detection sensor 401 acquires the detection results by the upper limit detection sensor 401 during a period of each time step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
