<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the removal cost of an electrode tip in a tip removing tool and a tip removing method for removing the electrode tip from a shank of a spot-welding gun. <P>SOLUTION: The tip removing tool has an engagement plate 42 having a cutout 41 formed at a tip thereof, and the engagement plate 42 is movably supported on a stand. The spot-welding gun has the shank 20 including the electrode tip 21 provided at a tip thereof with a gap t being provided between the shank 20 and the electrode tip 21. The spot-welding gun further has a sub-pressure arm 24 pressed onto one surface of a workpiece. When the electrode tip 21 is removed, the engagement plate 42 is inserted to the gap t between the shank 20 and the electrode tip 21. The sub-pressure arm 24 is moved down toward the engagement plate 42. Thus, the thrust of the sub-pressure arm 24 is transmitted to the electrode tip 21 through the engagement plate 42, whereby the electrode tip 21 can be easily removed from the shank 20, and the removal cost of the electrode tip 21 is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
