<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with an operation control means 15 which turns off a contactor control switch 10 and unnecessarily interrupts elevator operation to cause stop shock or inter-floor stop when a safety switch monitoring means 13 detects and informs that a safety switch 8a or the like is actuated because a failure occurs in a power supply voltage to the safety switch 8a or the like, as well as when the operation control means 15 turns off the contactor control switch 10, turns off a contact 3a of a contactor 3, and suspends power supply to a motor when the safety switch monitoring means 13 informs that the safety switch 8a or the like is actuated. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage monitor means 12, which detects whether the power supply voltage to the safety switch 8a or the like has the failure or not, is provided.
