<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain constant luminance and light flux over a long period. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device 10 comprises: a semiconductor laser 3 emitting laser light; and a light emitting part 7 receiving excitation light emitted from the semiconductor laser 3 and emitting light.
