<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather resistant steel having excellent corrosion resistance which can be used in a non-coated condition in a part exposed to a high humidity environment. <P>SOLUTION: The weather resistant steel is characterized in that a concentrated layer with the maximum thickness of≥7μm is formed in which at least one element selected from V, Mo and W is concentrated in the boundary between a matrix surface and a rust layer in the steel in a high humidity environment; wherein the concentrated layer denotes a layer concentrated in such a manner that the content of at least one element selected from among V, Mo and W is controlled in the total content to≥2 times the total of the corresponding element(s) in the steel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
