<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin receiving and dispensing device including an identification part in which coin jam hardly occurs, which is capable of preventing the occurrence of the coin jam at the identification part, and coping with the coin jam.SOLUTION: A coin receiving and dispensing device includes: a reception part; an identification part; jam prevention means; a storage part; a conveyance part; and a rejection part. The identification part has: a conveyance surface, a movable part and a support part. The conveyance surface supports a coin from the lower surface. The movable part includes a sensor for identifying the rightness of the coin, and opposes to the conveyance surface via a gap enabling a normal coin having the maximum thickness to pass. The support part supports the movable part such that the movable part is movable in a direction where the gap is enlarged to the conveyance surface when the coin comes in contact with the movable part. The jam prevention means has: detection means; and driving means. The detection means detects or predicts that an abnormal coin having height disabling the coin to pass the gap has entered or may enter the identification part. The driving means allows the movable part to move when the detection means outputs a detection result indicating that the abnormal coin has entered or predicting that the abnormal coin will enter the identification part.</p> |
