The present invention relates to an alarm system, comprising: an enclosure; at least one wireless transceiver positioned in the enclosure, the transceiver configured to receive an activation signal and transmit an alarm signal; and a GPS device positioned in said enclosure and configured to transmit information related to a position of said enclosure, at least one sensor, the sensor is configured to communicate a signal to the GPS; wherein said GPS device includes an enabled state and an non-enabled state, and said GPS device is selectively put into said enabled state in response to a signal from said sensor.
