The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for supplying a hard metal insert to a hard metal insert coating chamber for CVD coating and collecting the hard metal insert wherein coating is completed. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a pallet conveying unit formed on one side of an upper surface of a frame to convey a pallet; a coating tray conveying unit placed on the other side of an upper surface of the frame to face the pallet conveying unit and convey a coating tray; a hard metal insert inspecting unit and a reversing unit formed between the pallet conveying unit and the coating tray conveying unit to inspect and reverse the hard metal insert; a hard metal insert conveying unit formed to cross the air over the pallet conveying unit and the coating tray conveying unit and to convey the hard metal insert; and a moving camera unit for detecting a position, which is formed in an upper portion of the hard metal insert conveying unit in the same direction. The method of the present invention comprises: a step for conveying a pallet; a step for inspecting and reversing a hard metal insert; and a step for conveying a coating tray.
