The invention relates to a rod (100) for connecting supports, in particular for picking up axial tensile and compressive forces and torques, with a portion of metal wire with a substantially prismatic, preferably cylindrical circumferential surface (102); and at both rod ends (104) integrally formed part (108) suitable for attachment of the coupling parts from plastic or light metal, preferably by injection molding. The invention is characterized in that the profiles (108) of the rod ends (104) enveloping curve has a diameter (114) that is larger by at least 6% than the diameter (116) of the prismatic central rod region (105) set envelope; and which have profiles (108) at least in partial areas a profile depth (110) of at least 0.5 mm, preferably approximately 1 mm. |
