The footbed insole 2A covering of open toe footwear such as sandals, mules or flip flops may be provided with an opening therein to allow the creation of a pocket or sleeve to receive an orthotic, orthopeadic insert or insole. The pocket may be in different sizes to accommodate a full or partial length insert and the insert may be made in varying thicknesses to suit. A flap 2E locates said insert to prevent it from moving, the flap may be a leather cover 6A which is folded under itself thereby forming an opening into which the orthotic insert is located, see figure 6. The part length insert may incorporate padding 2B at the front of the sole. A cover 2C which may be leather or a resilient material may be fitted. |
