<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the pressure of a pump effect generated by a volume change in a cam chamber escape, to prevent the flow-out of clutch grease, and to improve durability, in a starter for an idle-stop vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The engine starter 1 for the idle-stop vehicle has a drive shaft 4 driven by an electric motor 2 and an over-running clutch 5 which can move on the drive shaft 4. The over-running clutch 5 has a clutch outer 56, a roller 58 and a clutch inner 57. The clutch outer 56 has cam chambers 91 for accommodating the roller 58 and a clutch spring 60, a partitioning wall 96 for partitioning a clearance between the cam chambers 91, and a grease lead groove 95 which is formed at the partitioning wall 96 and connects the adjacent cam chambers 91. When pressure is generated in the cam chamber 91 by the pump effect accompanied by the oscillation of the roller 58, the grease G in the cam chamber 91 is introduced into the grease lead groove 95, and the pressure of the pump effect is made to escape by the grease lead groove 95. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
