<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay amplifier and a relay method that can prevent breakage of the amplifier and also improve a communication service when one signal of a W-CDMA wave and an LTE wave becomes an excess input state. <P>SOLUTION: In a radio relay amplifier, a downlink radio wave reception analysis unit 27 obtains a communication method and a band from a reception signal and outputs them to a monitoring control unit 34; the monitoring control unit 34 sets the communication method and band to a downlink digital signal processing unit 28 and an uplink digital signal processing unit 30; the downlink digital signal processing unit 28 and the uplink digital signal processing unit 30 only allow passage of the set band and amplify it, measure a signal level to detect an excess output, and if one signal has become an excess output state, reduce an amplification gain of the signal of the communication method; and if the excess output state of the signal does not disappear, the monitoring control unit 34 performs control not to allow passage of the band of the signal, and stopped relaying of the signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
