A method for supporting handover of a terminal in a base station of a mobile communications system, according to an embodiment of the present specification, comprises the following steps of: receiving a random access preamble from a terminal; transmitting a packet stored for the terminal to the terminal; and receiving a handover complete message from the terminal. The stored packet is transmitted to the terminal before receiving the handover complete message. According to an embodiment of the present specification, when a terminal for receiving data performs a handover operation from a source base station to a target base station, the user convenience is increased by more rapidly transmitting data forwarded for the terminal from the target base station to the terminal. |
