<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll medium holder device configured so that a fitting part is fitted to a core opening of a roll core of a roll medium to properly hold it. <P>SOLUTION: This roll medium holder device 51 comprises a guide part (7) and a holder part (3). The holder part (3) includes: a base part 41 slidable relative to the guide part; a fitting part 13 movable in a width direction relative to the base part and fitted into a core opening 12 of a roll core 11 of a roll medium R; and an elastic body (42) in contact with the fitting part 13 at one end (42a) side and biasing the fitting part 13 to the roll medium side in the width direction relative to the base part 41. By changing positional relation between the one end (42a) and the other end (42b) of the elastic body 42, a magnitude of the force F biasing the fitting part 13 to the roll medium side is changed.
