FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used at pyrometallurgical plants. Plant loading area is closed from above and sides by means of cap with top draft holes for offgas and dust accumulated in said cap to draught therefrom. Stack for accommodation and preheating of metal scrap is provided with top loading element arranged in direction of said loading gate element. The latter can be opened to feed said metal scrap and to be closed thereafter. Note here that draft system with controlled activation is connected to the cap top draft holes. Said activation is coordinated with opening and closing of top gate element and/or stack loading conditions.EFFECT: control over scrap loading and draft system, ruled out emission of dust and smoke.22 cl, 6 dwg
