The characterised strain is constructed on the basis of L-IVP strain of the vaccinia virus and contains an insert of a gene of the human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), the structure of which corresponds to cDNA of the matrix RNA of human GM-CSF, represented in the GenBank under number Ml 1220.1. The gene of human GM-CSF is expressed under the control of the natural promoter p7.5K of the vaccinia virus and produces a secreted form of the biologically active human GM-CSF in mammalian cells at the level of 40 mg per ml of a culture medium.
