FIELD: radio engineering, communication.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to postal service and can be used at automated mail handling centres for automating parcel sorting. The parcel sorting and storage system includes distribution transporters, at the input of which there are workstations for facing and addressing parcels, equipped with panels for manually typing parcel details and apparatus for automatically reading parcel details, and at the output reference storages for off-grade parcels, automatic reloading devices with buffer storages, connected to sorting conveyors, which are provided with rows of motorised address and reference storages, collecting transporters mounted in the lower part of each row of motorised storages, wherein the motorised storages are located at both sides of the sorting conveyor, and a collection transporter is a group of transporters adjacent to each other by end faces with reverse motion of the working member of each transporter; furthermore, within the space formed under the storages of the sorting conveyor, there is an additional transporter, wherein each additional transporter is connected to the adjacent collecting transporter on the side of the distribution transporters by an inverted L-shaped roller adaptor with a separate reverse drive.EFFECT: automating the process of loading parcels into containers while ensuring non-stop operation of the parcel sorting and storage system without using backup storages of a sorting conveyor.6 ex, 2 dwg |
