Disclosed is a gas insulated circuit breaker having a structure capable of cooling an insulation gas discharged into an enclosure from an interrupter. The gas insulated circuit breaker comprises: a fixed contact having a hollow formed therein; a fixed arc contact disposed at the hollow of the fixed contact; a fixed side conductor configured to surround the fixed contact, wherein an interval between the fixed side conductor and the fixed contact is configured as an insulation gas discharge flow path; a movable contact having a hollow formed therein; a moveable arc contact disposed in the hollow of the movable contact; a movable side conductor configured to surround the movable contact, wherein an interval between the movable side conductor and the movable contact is configured as an insulation gas discharge flow path; a first extension part which is formed on the fixed side conductor, and which extends the insulation gas discharge flow path of the fixed side conductor; and a second extension part which is formed on the movable side conductor, and which extends the insulation gas discharge flow path of the movable side conductor. The gas insulated circuit breaker improves the effect of cooling a high temperature insulation gas which extinguishes an arc. |
