The present invention is a method for aligning an inter-cell search channel section in a cellular communications system wherein a serving base station in charge of a serving cell is positioned in the serving cell, selects at least one terminal operating in a radio resource control (RRC) connection mode, transfers a request message for requesting search channel-related information of an adjacent cell to the at least one terminal, receives from the at least one terminal an adjacent cell identifier (ID), a time adjustment value pertaining to movement of a search channel based on the frame reference time of the adjacent cell, and a network time difference (NTD) between the serving cell and the adjacent cell, and arranges the search channel section of the serving cell to the search channel section of the adjacent cell based on the adjacent cell ID, the time adjustment value, and the NTD.
