The device (3) has a drive unit (4) turnable at a covering item (14) oblong to a winding item (17). An adjustment unit moves along a top margin (2a) of the covering item during winding process. A transfer part of the drive unit is fixed with the winding item. A rotatable tension part (21) is arranged between two turnable winding bodies (20, 22). One of the winding bodies and the winding item are joined with each other. The covering item is upwardly rolled during handling process of the tension part and the winding body.
