An exercise apparatus is disclosed. The exercise apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an exercise unit which is moved when external power is applied thereto; a sensing unit which is attached to the exercise apparatus, and senses the motion of the exercise unit; a control unit which calculates quantity of motion of a user based on the sensed motion; and a communications unit which transmits the calculated quantity of motion of the user to an external device. |
