The present invention relates to a mutant having thermal stability substituted number 94 of endoglucanase Z (EngZ) and/or amino acid of number 365, a gene coding the same and a recombinant vector comprising the same and microorganisms that the recombinant vector is introduced. The EngZ mutant having thermal stability exhibits optimal activity at 40 to 50°C and is useful for decomposing biomass by maintaining activity for a long time at high temperature of 50 to 70°C and increasing activity efficiency.
