Disclosed are a method and a system for providing a translation result based on various semantic categories. In a method for providing a translation result performed by a computer, the present invention provides a method for providing a translation result comprising the following steps: generating a translation that an original text written in a source language is translated into a target language; and providing the translation as a translation result, and providing the translation by classifying the same into a semantic category of a sentence.
