The present invention provides a vehicle ultrasound sensor that is not prone to vibration transmission from an ultrasonic oscillator to a case body or vehicle body and is capable of maintaining stable detection performance and assembly dimension accuracy, and a vehicle distance detector provided with such a vehicle ultrasound sensor. In this vehicle ultrasound sensor, a plurality of recesses (213) are formed on the inner circumferential surface (211) of a holding cylinder part (21) of a cushion member (20). These recesses (213) are depressions that have six roughly equilateral-triangle-shaped downward sloping surfaces and open toward the inner circumferential surface (211) in roughly regular hexagonal shapes. These roughly regular-hexagon-shaped recesses (213) are disposed continuously at constant pitches along an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the axial direction and a diagonally intersecting direction that diagonally intersects the axial direction. |
