A selection method and device for a substitute tunnel of an information transfer main tunnel. The method comprises: an information transfer parameter of a current main tunnel and information transfer parameters of all backup tunnels of the current main tunnel are obtained; when a backup tunnel of the main tunnel is a backup tunnel having information transfer performance indicated by the information transfer parameter better than or equal to information transfer performance indicated by the information transfer parameter of the main tunnel, a backup tunnel, selected from all the backup tunnels of the main tunnel, having information transfer performance indicated by the information transfer parameter better than or equal to the main tunnel acts as a current substitute tunnel of the main tunnel. The device corresponds to the method. The present technical solution selects a suitable tunnel from backup tunnels to act as a substitute tunnel of a main tunnel, thereby improving a data transmission effect within the substitute tunnel. |
