The present invention relates to a functional composition for coating a steel material and a method for coating a steel material by using the same. According to the present invention, a functional composition for coating a steel material and a method for coating a steel material by using the same comprises the steps of: obtaining a functional composition for coating a steel material by mixing an anticorrosive agent with respect to 100 parts by weight of an acrylic acid ester copolymer composed of 2.8-20 parts by weight of a water-soluble epoxy resin, 50-60 parts by weight of polyacrylate elastomer (ACM) containing a carboxylic group crosslinking site, 2.8-12 parts by weight of acetic acid, 0.1-0.5 parts by weight of trimethoxysilane, 130-220 parts by weight of water, 1.21-1.29 parts by weight of a dispersed corrosion inhibitor, 1-14 parts by weight of quartenary ammonium, 1-3 parts by weight of phenol derivatives, and residual water; cleaning the surface of the steel material as a target to be painted; applying a corrosion inhibition reducing agent on the surface of the cleaned steel material; coating the functional composition for coating the steel material obtained in the step of obtaining the functional composition for coating the steel material on the surface of the steel material; and coating the surface exposed to the outside of the coated steel material with a surface protective material. |
