The present information processing system includes a first device, and a first management device that acquires the value of a predetermined item from the first device. The first management device includes: a data storage unit that stores information indicating whether the value of the predetermined item has changed, with respect to one or a plurality of points in time; a comparison unit that compares, when the value of the predetermined item has been acquired from the first device, the acquired value of the predetermined item and the value of the predetermined item that has been previously acquired from the first device, and that stores information indicating whether the value of the predetermined item has changed in the data storage unit; and a determination unit that determines, on the basis of the information stored in the data storage unit and indicating whether the value of the predetermined item has changed, the point in time for acquiring the value of the predetermined item from the first device. |
