Disclosed is technology regarding a location-based instant message providing system and method. The location-based instant message providing system, in one embodiment, comprises: a server connected to a network; an access terminal connected to the server through the network so as to provide location information and input information to the server; and an additional access terminal connected to the server through the network so as to provide location information and input information to the server. The server stores the location information of the access terminal and the location information of the additional access terminal, provides the location information of the access terminal to the access terminal, and provides the input information of the access terminal and the input information of the additional access terminal respectively to the additional access terminal and the access terminal. The access terminal displays, on the basis of the provided location information of the additional access terminal, the geographical location of the access terminal and the geographical location of the additional access terminal on a map displayed in a display of the access terminal, and displays, on the display of the access terminal, the input information which a user of the access terminal and a user of the additional access terminal input, respectively adjacently to the geographical location of the access terminal and the geographical location of the additional access terminal which are displayed on the map. The information which the user of the access terminal and the user of the additional access terminal input includes an instant message which is automatically deleted, if a predetermined time elapses. |
