[Solution] The problem above is addressed by an information processing device that has an encryption unit for carrying out encryption by block code and that can be incorporated into electronic equipment. A verification target message including at least prescribed authentication parameters and first encrypted information, which is encryption of plain text by the encryption unit, is divided into one or more blocks every 128 bits, and using a plurality of sequences of eight bits formed from 16 elements, sequential calculations are carried out for each block of these divided one or more blocks by a GHASH function formed by a prescribed algorithm. Second encrypted information that is encryption of the calculation results by the encryption unit is generated and an authentication tag is generated. |
