PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magenta toner that is excellent in color reproducibility, heat-resistant storage property, and low-temperature fixability.SOLUTION: There is provided a magenta toner for electrophotography that contains at least a polyester resin and a colorant including a naphthol pigment, and satisfies the following requirements (1) and (2). (1) The storage elastic modulus[G'(100)(THF insoluble)] at 100°C of a THF insoluble of the toner is 1.0×10to 1.0×10Pa, and a ratio of the storage elastic modulus[G'(40)(THF insoluble)] at 40°C of the THF insoluble of the toner to the storage elastic modulus[G'(100)(THF insoluble)] is 3.5×10 or less. (2) An X-ray diffraction pattern according to the crystallization state of the naphthol pigment has a plurality of peaks in an area of 0°≤2&thetas;≤35°, and the sum of the half band widths of the peaks is 5° to 10°. |
