PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect chassis with discrete lengths of side panel material and/or connection zone material and eliminate the need for a removable sheet used in some manufacturing processes.SOLUTION: A web of articles is formed by intermittently spaced chassis 102 and intermittently spaced side panels bridging gaps between the intermittently spaced chassis. The chassis 102 are then folded in the cross direction parallel to a lateral centerline, and a first side panel 112a, 112b and a second side panel 114a, 114b are subsequently bonded together. The article is then subjected to knife cut in or near the bonded regions to create discrete, pre-fastened refastenable pant diapers. |
