PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member that can achieve a liquid crystal display device that suppresses the generation of moire, has excellent mechanical strength, and has high brightness.SOLUTION: An optical member includes a polarizing plate 10, a light diffusion layer 20, a reflection type polarizer 30, and a prism sheet 40 in this order, and the polarizing plate 10 through the prism sheet 40 are formed in one body. The light diffusion layer 20 and the prism sheet 40 are provided with a predetermined distance therebetween so as to suppress the generation of moire. The prism sheet 40 is preferably configured to have a plurality of convex columnar unit prisms arranged on a surface opposite to the reflection type polarizer 30. |
