A synchronous reluctance rotating electric machine of an embodiment has: a rotor iron core provided with a plurality of air gap layers; and a stator. The rotor iron core has a plurality of belt-like magnetic path layers and at least one or more bridges that bridge across each of adjacent air gaps among the plurality of air gap layers. The bridges across the respective adjacent air gaps are disposed on different straight lines.
