A thawing apparatus for an external air inlet unit of a ship, according to the present invention, comprises: a thermoelectric power generation module included in a waste heat generation source existing between an engine of the ship and an exhaust gas discharge path, and for generating electrical energy; a heating coil included in the external air inlet unit to eliminate frost formed in the external air inlet unit of the vessel by using the electrical energy generated in the thermoelectric power generation module; and a heating unit for heating air by using the electrical energy generated in the thermoelectric power generation module, and blowing the heated air toward the external air inlet unit.
