PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for preventing or treating the formation of atherosclerotic plaque such as arteriosclerosis and the progress of ischemic heart disease thereafter.SOLUTION: A bio-oil composition comprises 20-100 wt.% wax ester, preferably 70-100 wt.% wax ester, wherein the wax ester comprises mainly univalent or polyvalent unsaturated C16-22 fatty acids and monoesters of univalent unsaturated C16-22 aliphatic alcohol.
