The invention relates to a preparation of cytotoxic IgM antibodies which is essentially free from non-cytotoxic IgM antibodies and other classes of antibodies, to a method for preparing such a preparation of cytotoxic IgM antibodies and to a pharmaceutical composition containing a cytotoxic IgM antibody preparation according to the invention, which is advantageously used for the treatment of cancers.
