<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can accurately detect the life of a fixing device.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus that forms a toner image on a recording material, and includes: an image forming unit that forms an unfixed toner image on a recording material; a fixing unit that has a fixing rotating body and a pressure member that forms a nip part with the fixing rotating body, and heats, while conveying, the recording material carrying the unfixed toner image at the nip part to fix the unfixed toner image onto the recording material; a counting unit that counts the integrated rotation time of the fixing rotating body and the integrated number of times of start-up of the fixing unit; and a notification unit that performs notification of the life or replacement of the fixing unit, where the notification unit performs notification according to the integrated rotation time and integrated number of times of start-up.</p> |
