A method and device for reducing the energy consumption of a central processing unit, a terminal and a computer storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring a main memory access rate of a central processing unit (CPU) (S101); and adjusting a main frequency of the CPU according to the main memory access rate (S102). By acquiring a main memory access rate of a CPU and dynamically adjusting a main frequency of the CPU according to the main memory access rate, the main frequency of the CPU is adjusted into a reasonable main frequency as far as possible on the premise of guaranteeing the performance, thus guaranteeing the lowest energy consumption of the CPU and reducing the energy consumption of the CPU as far as possible. |
