A method for supporting a videoconference according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: requesting a client change from a first client connected to a first media server to a second client to be connected with a second media server; generating, according to the request for a client change, a mirror session for the second client; and suspending a session of the first client. According to the embodiment of the present invention, while conducting a videoconference on the basis of a distributed telepresence platform, even if handover occurs, it is possible to provide a seamless videoconference.
