Disclosed is a device for processing image data. The disclosed device may determine a dominant texture with respect to each of a plurality of areas constituting an image, and may group the areas so that areas having the same dominant texture which are determined among the areas constituting the image can be the same group, thereby processing the image data allocated according to a grouping result.
