PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint method which removes burrs and concurrently achieves improvement of the joint quality.SOLUTION: A joint method includes: a friction pressure welding step where a first metal member 2 and a second metal member 3 are subject to friction pressure welding; and a welding step where outer surfaces of the first metal member 2 and the second metal member 3 are laser-welded with burrs P occurring in at least one of the outer surfaces used as a filler material. In the friction pressure welding step, the first metal member 2 and the second metal member 3 are linearly reciprocated relative to each other while being pressed in directions such that the first metal member 2 and the second metal member 3 move close to each other.
