PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for expanding and sealing an expandable type structure having a longitudinal edge part, as generally exemplified by a drive part, an expanding nozzle, a sealing device and a sheet engagement device.SOLUTION: A machine can define an engagement assembly 70 and an opposite assembly 72. A drive part can be rotatably jointed to a sheet engaging device, and the engaging device rotates if the drive part rotates. The engaging device can be equipped with engaging rollers having belts 52 and 62 or a plurality of teeth 54 and 64 thereon. Over the longitudinal edge part of the expandable type structure, the teeth can mesh with each other between a drive roller 80 and a back roller 82. As a result, the sheets of the expandable type structure can engage with each other, and the length of the longitudinal edge parts can be shrunken to facilitate the expansion. The expandable type structure expanded resultantly can be equipped with longitudinal edge parts embossed. |
