[Class 44] A multiple fastening for doors &c. comprises a pair of vertical bolts b, each provided with a rack d, a short horizontal bolt c provided with a pair of racks e, and a pair of toothed sectors f, each engaging a rack d and one of the racks e. One of the sectors is mounted on a non-circular spindle i operated by a handle h to shoot or retract the bolts simultaneously. The bolts may be locked in shot position by a pivoted member k adapted to engage a shoulder l on the upper bolt b. Member k is operated by a key m engaging in aperture p in the member, and is locked in each of its extreme positions by a key-released tumbler q having a gated aperture t co-operating with a projection s on the member k. |
