A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a plurality of scan lines (10a) and a plurality of signal lines (11a); a plurality of pixel TFTs; a common scan circuit (10b); and a plurality of safety diodes (6) (safety elements). At least a portion of a plurality of connection circuits which electrically connect the common scan circuit and the plurality of safety diodes is configured with connection lines (11e) of the same layer as the signal lines. The area of the overlapping portion of a plurality of pixel TFT semiconductor layers with the scan lines is approximately equivalent to the area of the overlapping portion of the plurality of semiconductor layers with the common scan circuit. |
