The present invention relates to a continuously variable transmission and, particularly, to a device which: smoothly and continuously varies speed by a simple structure through conical friction wheels; and, particularly, enables two groups of conical friction wheels facing each other to be alternately arranged to overlap with each other such that a compact configuration is possible, and also greatly increases frictional force among the respective constituent elements by elastic force independently applied toward the center from both sides, thereby smoothly and continuously varying the speed without slipping. Thus, since two groups of conical friction wheels facing each other are alternately arranged to overlap with each other so as to continuously vary the speed without a transmission shock by a more compact configuration, marketability can be increased, and also, frictional force among the respective constituent elements are remarkably increased by elastic force independently applied toward the center from both sides such that the speed can be smoothly changed with high efficiency without loss due to slipping, thereby maximizing transmission performance. |
