The present invention relates to: a composition for enhancing stemness or proliferating skin cells, the composition comprising at least one among extract of Andrographis paniculata, andrographolide or salt thereof; and a composition for improving skin condition, comprising the composition. The composition of the present invention induces secretion of a growth factor from stem cells and skin cells, and promotes cell proliferation. In addition, the composition of the present invention induces improvement in skin condition such as improvement of skin wrinkles, inhibition of skin aging, improvement of skin elasticity, skin regeneration, or improvement of wounds or scars formed on the epidermis, etc.
