The present invention relates to a system and method for simulating a golf using depth information, which recognize a golf ball and a golf club using gained depth information through a depth capture module, and can carry out a simulation by reading a movement of the golf ball during a certain time when the golf club hits the golf ball. The system comprises: a depth image capture module for gaining a depth image for an area where hitting the golf ball is carried out; a background storage portion for storing a background image for determining an object; a depth image analysis processing portion for detecting the object, and extracting a pointer from the detected object; a three-dimensional coordinate conversion portion for converting the extracted object pointer into a real-world coordinate; an object trajectory calculation portion for analyzing a trajectory of the object, and calculating a final location of the ball; an image storage portion for storing a swing image; and an image playing portion for playing the stored image. |
