The present invention relates to a method for producing pellets for fuel using disused culture media or logs after culturing mushrooms was finished. The method for producing pellets for fuel using disused culture media or logs which is used for culturing mushrooms and the content of lignin therein is reduced, includes the steps of: adding lignin to the disused culture media or logs ground to maintain a caloric value of the pellets at a predetermined value or higher; shaping the pellets by heating and compressing the disused culture media or logs to which the lignin is added; and drying the shaped pellets. The lignin added is a liquid lignin containing 50-60 wt% of sodium lignosulfonate or calcium lignosulfonate with respect to the total weight percentage of the lignin, and the content of the lignin added can adjust the strength and caloric power of the pellets without a separate adhesive and additive depending on a decomposition state of the disused culture media or logs.
