PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a search system that can tell a location of a search object at low costs.SOLUTION: A search system 1 comprises: a transmitter 30 that is installed to be associated with a location of a search object and transmits a signal; a server that controls an operation of the transmitter 30; and a terminal device 10 that receives a signal transmitted from the transmitter. The terminal device 10 comprises: a communication unit 16 that transmits an identification code and receives a radio wave transmitted from the transmitter 30; and a notification unit 17 that notifies of information about the location of the search object corresponding to the identification code on the basis of the radio wave from the transmitter 30. The server 20 comprises: a communication unit 26 that receives the identification code transmitted from the terminal device 10; a storage device 23 that stores association information for associating the identification code with the transmitter 30; and a CPU 11 that identifies the transmitter associated with the identification code based on the identification code and the association information, and causes the identified transmitter to be operative. |
